NSF Strengthens Commitment to Germany and Europe Through figawa Membership

Brussels, Belgium – NSF, a leading global public health and safety organization dedicated to improving human and planet health, is proud to announce that its Water Division has joined figawa e.V., a technical-scientific association of manufacturers and service providers of water and gas applications.

figawa holds a prominent position within the industry in Germany and Europe, representing over 275 water and gas companies. It plays a vital role in promoting members’ interests and supporting sustainable development through technical expertise, industry standardization, and legislative advocacy. figawa is also heavily involved with the European harmonization and the implementation of the Drinking Water Directive.

Becoming a member of figawa further bolsters NSF’s position and commitment to the German and European water industry. The membership provides access and greater visibility to figawa’s network of experts and stakeholders, enhancing NSF’s ability to develop and promote best practices for public health and safety.

Since 1984, NSF has been active in the German and European, when its European headquarters was opened in Brussels, providing testing, certification, and auditing services to the water industry. Providing assurance that European-certified products meet regional approvals, including KTW-BWGL, ACS, NSF REG4 and WRAS, as well as supporting with certification to North American standards NSF/ANSI/CAN 61, NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 and various performance standards such as NSF/ANSI 14, ASTM, ASSE, ASME, relevant for European markets.
